salut  l’artiste

Since making Thailand his home three decades ago,
Jean-Marc Huss has devoted himself to painting images of
Oriental Icons and Buddhas , embarking on a splendid iconic
journey into the spiritual elegance of the Masters of Bliss.

His works are held in public and private collections worldwide,
and are often auctioned at prestigious events in aid of charities
including the Red Cross, the Prince's Trust and Dalai Lama Foundation.

Between long monsoon retreats deep in the forests of Laos or high
in the Himalayas, Jean-Marc creates paintings that are a visual feast;
an aesthetic triumph that has imprinted on these Eastern Lords the
touching beauty and magnetic calm of another world than ours.

Over 2,000 years ago, the Buddha left his palace as a prince and became a holy vagabond.
He elevated solitude to a virtue and detachment to its essence. At the end of his life,
he became king of an unknown realm, leaving us with a smile that reads like a rare
and sublime poem of the non-self. This smile embodies the very essence of joy.
